1.2.1 ITEM 1: First machine: 1 TIMESAVERS, 71 series-1600-WW-RT
General description: Grinding machine with two wide abrasive belt top contact rollers for grinding and finishing of stainless steel coils, NO. 4 FINISH.
Operation:
• Load meter indicates percentage of head motor load, allowing full use of available horsepower.
• Mitsubishi E 1070 Control unit including:
• Electronically digital feed speed read-out in mm/min.
• Electronically digital thickness set-up read-out in mm.
• EMC-Filter (For the fluctuations in the electrics).
1st Head for No. 4 finish:
• Contact roller: 280 mm diameter with special vulcanised oil and heat resistant rubber, 55 Shore, with special profile groove.
• Heavy duty grinding head.
• Fine adjustment in height of the head with a precision of 0.01mm to change pressure or for abrasive belt thickness.
• The displacement can be readout on the dial indicator.
• Outboard support: quick release M20 bolt that locks and unlocks for quick change of abrasive belts and provides rigid support of the grinding head.
• Abrasive belt tension: air operated and activated by thumb switch. Air tensioning automatically compensates for belt stretch.
• Machine cannot be started unless belt is tensioned.
• Abrasive belt tracking: an electronic system automatically keeps the fast revolving abrasive belt on the head.
• Belt trimmer: lever to correct mistracking of the belt.
• Tracking limit switch safety stops grinding head in the event of tracking failure.
• Frequency controlled mainmotor 45 kW, 8-22 m/sec to achieve different finishes.

2nd Head for no. 4 finish:
(Specifications identical to the 1st head: 280 mm contact roller, 45 kW frequency controlled motor, etc.)
