CONSTRUCTION
Pouring furnace consists of four basic groups:
Bljdpezfyu Aefx Akhsi
- First group – longitudinal travelling (orbit motor)
- Second group – transverse travelling, including bottom-pour stopper
- Third group – inductor with power 120 kW, voltage 380 V 50Hz, which main task is heating liquid metal. Inductor is constantly air-cooled during the work.
- Fourth group – switchboard with built-in transformer, contactors and control station.
POURING PROCESS
Pouring process proceeds in following way: DISAMATIC 2032 A displayes moulds in convoyer in a proper position. Proper position means that open pouring basin in a mould is situated in position compatible with bottom-pour stopper on the bottom of a tub. If demanded position is achieved, the operator manually (by means of lever) lifts bottom-pour stopper in order to fill up the mould, up to liquid metal wil be visible in flow-off.
The speed of pouring the moulds could be regulated dependly on a diameter of ceramic block and orientation of bottom-pour stoper towards to ceramic block.
CERAMICS
Producer, BBC predicts usage of two-layers fire-brick lining, where one layer is permament, but the second is expendable.
Permament lining consists of insulating layer, that is light stone being burn and sillimanite layer.
Expendable layer consists of corundum material, it means a concret with large content of clay (94%). Both parts are connected together by means of special cement.
Tub inductor dependly on need is located in lining Al₂O₃ or MgO and SiO₂.
Material which is used to close bottom-pour stopper has quality of chamotte with different clay content.
Inductor is assembled to pouring furnace by means of screws and sealing compound with proper plasticity and heat resistance.
Whole device consists of three stoper rod sleeves, bot, ceramic block, where a bot and stoper rod sleeves are connected together. Bottom-pour stopper is seat on a bar with a thread. Bottom-pour stopper is air-colled in a constant mode. Recommended air pressure 6 atm.
CERAMICS LIFE
1. tub: ca 4 – 6 months
2. inductor: ca 12 weeks
Ceramics life depends on many factors. The most important are: production frequency, pouring temp., cleanness of liquid metal, alloys type.
Life of upper cover and rotating cover is much more longer, because indicated parts have no direct contact with liquid metal.
